The bud reaches up,

Brushing the blue sky,

Soon petals will open,

In response to the warm

loving embrace of the early sun.

There is no finer sign,

That I can find for spring:

A dead looking tree,

Coming to life once

more comforted by the sun.

A brief splash of colour,

A wonderful respite from

the cold winter preceding

when all was bleak. Austere.

But as the spring sun rises

it dispels the shadows, the cold.

Warmth slowly penetrates that frozen earth below. Like the Magnolia, within me there is hope,

There is life. I crave the warm embrace

Of that sun to return me to life.

To answer your question…

Yes, I did write this poem. It was inspired by the spring. I tend to write in order to help with anxiety, or depression.
Words are powerful, and help us to understand the world.

A tender and reflective poem. I love the way you connect the natural cycle of spring with hope and renewal in yourself. The imagery is vivid and calming.

You definitely have a talent for storytelling. This is a very sensitive verse. Unrealistically sincere and very beautiful. Do you dedicate your poems to someone?

Thank you for your wonderful poem about spring. Even though the weather is cloudy right now, you have lifted my spirits.

I am delighted with your poem, because no one has described spring and its charm so well. I really want to hear your other poems or if you release a collection, I would immediately buy it
