Slovenes are quite a genetic mix, with largely South Slavic ethnic roots, mixed with a lot of Italic, Germanic, Austrian, and Hungarian genes mixed in.

You maybe already picked up on this, but Slovenes are very proud of their country and culture.

Whether it’s the incredible beauty of the landscape (which they’re unashamedly obsessed with), the delicious, unique cuisine (which involves lots of potatoes, and they’re not ashamed of that), their phenomenal athletes (already touched on that), or their insanely tricky language (yeah, they’re kinda proud of that, too) they delight in their Slovenia-ness.

Alright, this one may come slightly as a surprise. Though traditional values and roles still hold sway here, that doesn’t mean Slovenian women aren’t a force to be reckoned with.
