You must wonder why a 70+ year old man is looking for love in Slavic Woman. I was in the US Army for 22 years and traveled all over the world. In 1976 I was stationed in West Germany and took a liberty to visit West and East Berlin. On the tour of East Berlin our group spent time with Soviet soldiers. I met a Soviet translator who spoke excellent English and we had a very long conversation. The translator was a very pretty young lady and spoke about how beautiful her homeland was and that it suffered much in World War 2 but that Ukraine is the breadbasket for the world. I talked about my life but she painted a beautiful portrait of her country. We became friends and tried over the years to stay in touch through letters. We found each other on the internet in the '80s and reconnected. I married and have six grown children and eleven grandchildren. She married and had two daughters. We communicated until the Russian invasion of Ukraine because she lived in Crimea. I learned from a message from her oldest daughter that she passed away in 2014 because she found a box of our letters. I retired from the US Army and 16 years working in law enforcement and 3 years working for an internet provider as a help desk technician and now I am looking for someone who wants to join me for the rest of my life. I already have a number of friends in Ukraine and Eastern Europe but I do not have someone to share my heart with.
